On September 4th, 2012, PDC Construction began extensive work on the Holiday Inn Express located on Bankhead Road just south of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. The hotel consisted of 190 rooms spread across 2 buildings. The rehabilitation of the hotel began with the demolition of a 52 bedroom building located behind the main building. Once finished, the hotel will have 7 newly converted, fully-accessible handicap units, a beautifully remodeled exterior, and brand new landscaping. The remaining 131 bedrooms will be upgraded and modernized, bringing them up to Holiday Inn Express standards. Construction is scheduled to be completed in May 2013.
