ADFA Board votes in support of 2023 tax credit recipients

In July, the ADFA Board of Directors voted unanimously in support of the Authority’s 2023 tax credit recipients; among the awardees are The Bluffs at Shackleford in Little Rock, Arkansas (60-unit family apartment complex) and The Villas at Spring Valley in Cabot, Arkansas (45-unit elderly townhomes). Funding sources for these projects will include a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME and NHTF funds. Both projects will address a crucial need for quality affordable housing in the state of Arkansas. Cobalt Construction, LLC is the General Contractor and Williams and Dean Architects will serve as the Project Architect.

On June 26-28 our management and compliance departments attended the AHAA Conference at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock. Here they learned the new changes ahead for affordable housing which consisted of HOTMA and NSPIRE guidelines.

Rock Ridge Pointe-Construction Begins

Construction begins on PDC Companies’ newest development, Rock Ridge Pointe. This elderly development will consist of 42 one-bedroom and 42 two-bedroom units as well as one on-site manager’s unit, totaling 85 units. This project will be funded using equity from Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and NHTF funds provided by ADFA. Lease up is expected fall of 2023.

Rehab & New Construction of Rogers Apartments Completed!

PDC Companies is proud to announce its latest project completion: the rehabilitation and new construction of multifamily apartments located in Rogers, Arkansas. Recognizing the significance of providing quality housing options, PDC Companies embarked on this initiative to revitalize Rogers Apartments. Taking a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, the company prioritized enhancements in areas such as energy efficiency, modern design, community-driven amenities and improved functionality. With the addition of new units, Rogers Apartments now consists of 43 one-bedroom, 22 two-bedroom, and 17 three-bedroom units for a total of 82 affordable units.

The Heights at Shackleford Completed and Leased Up!

PDC Companies completed and leased up their newest multifamily project The Heights at Shackleford, located at 4100 S. Shackleford in Little Rock. The Heights at Shackleford features seven three-story residential buildings, offering 12 two-bedroom, 48 three-bedroom, and 24 four-bedroom apartments.  The 84-unit apartment community will house very-low and low income families in the greater Little Rock area.  Funding for this project was providing by an equity investment from Midwest Housing Equity Group, construction financing from Relyance Bank and permanent financing from the Arkansas Development Finance Authority.

PDC Breaks Ground in Hot Springs

PDC Companies broke ground on their newest multifamily project located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, The Heights at Seneca.  Located on 9.72 acres just south of Downtown Hot Springs, The Heights at Seneca features six three-story residential buildings, offering 24 two-bedroom and 37 three-bedroom apartments.  The 61-unit apartment community houses very-low and low income families in the Hot Springs and Greater Garland County area.  Funds include equity investment from Boston Capital, construction financing from Relyance Bank and permanent financing from the Arkansas Development Finance Authority.  Hurd-Long Architects served as Project Architect and DCI is the project Civil Engineer.  Construction completed fall of 2020.

Amanda Raible Graduates LGLR Class XXXII!!

Last Friday, PDC's President and CEO Amanda Raible graduated from the Leadership Greater Little Rock program.  As a member of their 32nd class, Amanda is now one of 1,500 total graduates of the program and is the 6th PDC employee to complete the 9 month program.

Leadership Greater Little Rock is offered by the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and serves as the training ground for the future leaders of our state.  LGLR achieves this goal by immersing its members in all facets of the local community, including government, economics, education and history.  It takes an immense amount of dedication to complete the program and we here at PDC are extremely proud of your hard work!  Congratulations!
